As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all players, Spring Grove Baseball Association (SGBA) requires that all individuals volunteering to coach, assist on the field, work in the dugout, or have any direct interaction with the children submit the necessary background clearances. This includes head coaches, assistant coaches, team managers, and scorekeepers.

In accordance with Pennsylvania state law, volunteers are required to submit both a PA State Background Clearance and a PA Child Abuse History Clearance. These clearances are mandatory to ensure the safety and well-being of our players, and they are valid for a period of five years. After five years, volunteers must resubmit their clearances to maintain compliance.
